A Letter From Attorney Andrew A. Bokser

Many people judge lawyers not by what they say but by how loudly they say it. If their lawyer is abusive to the other side in negotiations or in court, some people feel their interests are being protected. Unfortunately, that is usually not the case.

My name is Andrew A. Bokser. For over 34 years, I have represented clients in cases ranging from contested divorces to child custody disputes, and from criminal law to the New York probate and administration proceedings. My initial strategy is to reach a fair and satisfactory negotiated settlement for our clients. If I am unable to reach that resolution through negotiation, I fully prepare my clients for trial to help them obtain the results they want and deserve.

In order to obtain a favorable outcome, I balance an aggressive and civil approach when dealing with opposing counsel and the courts. While some individuals like to see a shark represent them, uncivil behavior only makes it harder to communicate with the other side — and often drives up legal fees without increasing the chances for a positive result.

Personal Attention To Your Case

At the law firm of Andrew A. Bokser, I also believe in the value of personal attention. As your lawyer, I will handle every aspect of your case from beginning to end. I will be the lawyer you meet during your initial consultation with the firm. I will also be the lawyer who sits next to you in court if your case needs to be tried.

No matter what legal issue you face, my goal is to give you a realistic expectation of the likely outcome of your case before we start. I think it’s important to know what a judge might do, even if the court is not likely to see things the same way you do. As a lawyer, I believe in honest and straightforward communications. If an attorney and client mistrust each other, the relationship is doomed to failure.

I will work with you on your case and keep you informed every step of the way. Since we give you copies of all documents related to your case, your own legal file will be the same size as my office file. I will return your phone calls and emails promptly and listen to your concerns.

With my main office in Brooklyn and a satellite office in Garden City, I represent clients throughout the New York City area, including Nassau and Suffolk counties.

If you would like to discuss your case and legal options with me, please call me at 718-834-1904 or fill out our contact information.

Sincerely,

Andrew A. Bokser
